Today is Monday 004 series and the brain exercise game for today actually caught my attention. I came across it and was forced to solve it and guess what? When I got the answer, it was fulfilling. It made me feel my logical, mathematical and analytical skills were still in top gear! Won't you hit the gym with me to see how yours is doing?

Rani says: "Here we go again! As usual the twins are trying to outsmart each other."
Peter says: "In two years Dan will be as old and clever as me."
How old are the four teenagers?

Frm d puzzle we can deduce thus:having L,P,R and D as d ages of Lisa, peter, rani and dan. We have l-p=r-d and dan with Lisa are twins so l=d again d+2=p which means l+2=p and again dat l+d+r+p=cube number ie a number raise to power 3. After my long simultaneous equation and substitutioning I got dat peter-4yrs, dani and Lisa the twins-2yrs andd rani is 1yr old. Thanks

From,
L+P+D+R=Y^3
We have,
2D+(D-2)+(D+2)=Y^3
2D+D-2+D+2=Y^3
4D=Y^3...For 4D to be=Y^...D must be=D^2
4*4*4=Y^3
Y=64..= Total ages
And 4D=64, ...D=16
From P=D-2,..P=14
From R=D+2,..R=18
And L=D=16
Y^3=L+P+D+R
64=16+14+16+18
This tends to be true since they are all teenagers. Peace.
